Winter Colds

I have a helpful hint for that winter cold. When things are stuffy, dampen a wash cloth. Warm it in the microwave for a few seconds, then add a drop of eucalyptus oil to the compress. Bring this to your face and inhale. Repeat this daily. This works wonders whether you have a cold or allergies! Try it out. Also remember Chicken soup does wonders too.  Drink some Orange Juice! Feel better at home with lots of rest. Here is a recipe for you to try. Homemade Chicken Soup Ingredients: 1 (3 pound) whole chicken 4 carrots, halved 4 stalks celery, halved 1 large onion, halved water to cover salt and pepper to taste 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules (optional) Directions: 1. Put the chicken, carrots, celery and onion in a large soup pot and cover with cold water. Heat and simmer, uncovered, until the chicken meat falls off of the bones (skim off foam every so often). 2. getting into Christmas!

Are you like me finding it hard to get into Christmas this year? I don't think I have ever felt so down at this time of year. Although, I see the wonderful side of so many people everyday. I am often inspired and want to give more of my self.  I am wondering how to do that will out giving all of it away. My family would kill me if I did that. So what to do. The spirit of the holiday is to give to those who need it more then me. What happens when you are one of those who need the help. I have enjoyed and have been happier then I ever have been before working tat bring my non-profit organization to a place where it is really working for the better of the community and with the help of many wonderful people, GRLIC has grown and is really working to the better of our community. Reading challenge!

I have started Pride and Prejudice, and it seems that I must have read it sometime in my life because it is so familiar. I wanted to watch this movie, I bought it but never got to watch it. Now I am reading it. I am wondering if watching the movie will be as fun. Let me know if you are reading any of the books on the list. Leave your comments. This are some great books.
